How many people are out there that would like to see the 10sec. limit dropped out of Hot Rod? If your reading this and you have a opinion on it, voice your opinion. Nothing will ever change unless you speak up. You all act like it's a sin to voice your opinion on something you'd like to see changed. Roger isn't going to punish you for voicing your opinion. If he hears no requests to review a topic, he's not going too. So all of you people I hear making comments about this subject-SPEAK UP.

| It's Obvious that Rick has a point. I think Hot Rod should be 0-13.99. I think thats how they run MOD at the Bracket Finals. Byron and the Grove also run their No Box that way. |

| I know I run in top and with a box but I also think there should be a no ET limit no box class. I ran down in Norwalk at the bracket finals about 10 or so years ago and was running 9:60's without a box. Back then there was an ET limit but after talking with Bill Bader SR. he lifted the ET limit and I got to run in no box. I don't really see a problem of doing the same thing here at WIR. I think it will help to bring more racers to WIR and thats always a good thing. |

| I think we could go down to 9.0 to 13.5 for Hot Rod. Any faster and it seems that you would need to have all of the saftey and chassis certifications that to put in a box would be nothing. The difference between an 8 sec car and a 13 sec car seems a little much to be waiting at the lights to go. Just my 2 cents. |

| Hey Tuna Jr., you just liked being one of the faster cars.(then) And just because a car may go quick enough to need a chassis cert. doesn,t mean they should be forced to run a delay box to compete. Your missing the point goodwin. Not everybody want to run electronics. Hell, the thought of Pauly ripping up my ass while running a high 9sec. pass freaks me out a little. The majority of tracks that I've run, have a 8:50 to 13:99 No-Box class, however , it is limited to door cars. I myself only know of one track that allows open wheelers in No-Box. And I agree on running it formated et wise just like the finals are. |

| I would like having a No Box class with no ET break and have the payout match the current Top class. I could go either way on whether you have a run off at the end or not. Also, I don't have a preference one way or the other if it is limited to door cars or not. It would definitely take some getting used to having a fast dragster run you down. As things sit right now I am planning on going to Top some day just to be able to run faster and have the chance of winning a bigger purse. It has nothing to do with being able to run electronics. If there was a No Box class with no ET break I would not move up to Box class. I have never run with a box before so that would just be one less thing to learn! |

Bigger payout require bigger entry fees...How many are interested in that....I dont think so.There has been talk about it for some time.....but the majority in hot rod want their second round loser 15.00 payout......I dont know why |

As far as a bigger entry fee-ofcourse it would take a bigger entry fee. And second round loser money doesn't happen in Hot Rod anymore. Since the buy-back was installed, we have to go to third round to get the piddly 15 bones. And let me also remind you, there was not a single dollar added to the payout. So you might as well raise it anyway so we get something back. And to many people, it is about running or not running electronics. There is a certain pride that comes with doing it on your own. So Donny Baker, you keep wearing your skirt all you want, because it takes real balls to hit the tree on your own. If it doesn't matter to a person what they do(box or no-box)maybe your just not a real serious player. |

| Almost forgot- as far as I'm concerned, dragsters should be allowed to run no-box as well. If someone like dragsters but not the electronics, let them run it. I think the only ones that are really apposed to this, are the ones that are afraid to run against faster cars. If your afraid to run a quick car, then run in street. Hell, a few of those street cars can go faster than 12 flat too, but they're held back as well. This is racing, not slowing. Lets open this up. Darrell is right to a certain degree, tapping the breaks at the big end to take the win in your 9 second street car is one thing, but having to take off half of your spakplug wires to be allowed to run your street car in Hot Rod is ridiculous. |
