| I could never understand why the "snell" requirements, recent testing has shown that the "DOT" standards are better. |

I was told a DOT test is a crash test. SNELL is a puncture test. Your footpeg, handle bar ect going through your helmet. |
Sure it's street legal...... |

I have to agree with MROBVIOUS!! It should be box and no-box. 0-13:99 or 14:99 for no-box, and 0-10:99 for box. Why should a guy be penalized by not having a shot at the bigger purse simply because they dont want to run a box? My car was capable of running high 9s, but to run without a box #1 I had to slow it down-#2 I only had a shot at $300 instead of say ohhh like $1000 that they pay PRO Elim. at Byron. It seems that your really dont count at our track unless you run Top. Or is that my imagination? Adding a buy-back in Hot Rod was nice, but what happened to paying even a little of that money back to the racers who win some rounds? I heard it was a test period to see if anyone would buy-back in that class. In that class-what exactly does that catagorize us as? The underprivilaged? Misfits? Oh wait-not all. We just arent Top. Street class racers, dont feel alone!! Your not! The lower entry fees are nice as well, but an actuall pay out would be nice when you win also. Top Elim. entry is $60 w/$1000 to win Hot Rod entry is $30-half of Tops entry-Hot rod should also get paid half of Tops purse as well then. $500 No one is real willing to buy back when no money is put back into the system. Everyone sees how it works at other tracks and they like the systems they use. But, those are other tracks we dont all wish to go to all the time. So, how is it, or is it possible to alter pay-out structures were we like to race??? This wasnt intended to insult or offend anyone at all!! Its just what racers have been talking about for some time now. (box-no-box) (payout structures)????????????? |

| I think that they should run BOX/NO BOX. Thats how they run it at other tracks. BOX verses BOX NO BOX verses NO BOX and have a run off in the finals. It would be run like the race at the end of the year but with a better round pay out. |

| There are a number of guys that run NOBOX in Top. Nobody said that you have to run a BOX in order to run in Top but the vast majority of them do. I like Hot Rod because that is the way that I set my car up. I do like the idea of splitting Top into BOX NOBOX and having a run off, like we do at the gamblers race. I know that when I was running this last year I did buy back when I did not win first round. Hopefully payouts will be a little better this year. Making it into the top 8 and only getting entry fee back kind of sucks, but we don't do this to win money. |

| i would run no box if the et limit was lowered.it was changed once down to 10 flat but i think it should be 9 flat..i switched to top because i dont like slowing down my car. i am not sure but i think the et for no box at finals in michigan was 9.00....must be what the other tracks run.plus putting delay box in the car really did not make me any better. |

Right on Randy! It would never happen, but Id like to see things the way they used to be!! NO boxes period! Randy, your one of very few guys that I could see actually being a threat in Top without a box. However, I know even you wouldnt waste your time trying to compete against electronics.
